A Buffet Named Betty

Betty comes to the party elegantly dressed in shades of light gray and creamy white.

She has plenty of room for your wine glasses, table cloths, placemats, platters and anything else you wish to put in one of her five drawers or two cabinets.

She is finished off with a nice coat of dark and clear wax, along with the slightest distressing, all buffed to buffet-perfection.

What post wouldn't be complete without a few vintage-looking photos?  <Cue the photos>

Set your wine glass down in style, right on top of Betty the Buffet!  She can be yours for $175.  Local pick-up is available in Muskegon, email Courtney(at)vintage-redefined.com.

Betty is 60" wide, 19.5" deep, and 34.5" high.

Turkey Feathers for Decoration??

Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!  As for me, I got to go junkin at 2 different flea markets, now that's my kind of weekend!

I have had this turkey feather for over 22 years.  It's actually very near and dear to my heart.  My grandpa brought it to me in the hospital when I was in 2nd grade and had to have my appendix out.  I spent an entire week in the hospital and he brought me this special feather to make me feel better.  Needless to say, turkey feathers don't always go with my decor, but I've held onto it for sentimental reasons.

I was inspired by this vignette at one of the flea markets, so I set out to create one of my own.  (Sorry the pic is a little blurry, it was a walk-by photo op.)

What a perfect way to display the feather!  My vignette is not completely finished, but here is the sneak peak.  I'm loving the tiny bird cage I picked up.  So, what do you think about the turkey feather for decor?  Does it look silly sticking out of the bird cage?

I also wanted to brag about mention another fun thing I found.  I initially sought this out for the wooden, antique box.  Who knew the box came with the treasures inside??  Check out the collection of antique metal shoe molds in a bunch of different sizes from big to tiny!  I think they look adorable displayed in the Eclipse Cobbler box!  This will be for sale soon, but if you're interested, email me.  It would look fantastic as a centerpiece on a table with all the shoe molds peaking out.

What did you do this weekend?  Did you remember to take some time to thank a Veteran and pray for our troops?  I would personally like to thank my Dad and my Grandpa.  Without them, this world would be a different place.

Tuxedo Table - Custom Work

Look at this beauty!  It kinds of reminds me of a tuxedo.

I love the contrast between the greyish-black top and lighter grey base and drawer.

It is so elegant and off to its next life at an area law firm.

Think of all the hard work people will do around this table.  Enjoy!

A Two-Tiered Side Table Named Nicole

Quite possibly living her past life in the circus, Nicole is a charcoal grey two-tiered side table. She has been oh-so-slightly distressed to show just a bit of her unmentionable bright pink underneath-ness. She will charm you and anybody who is lucky enough to set their drink on her.

The top tier is about 15.25" across. The bottom tier is about 22" wide. The height is approximately 29.5"(Sorry to disappoint, but the antique cameras are not included.)

$70.00 and she's yours!

This beauty lives with me...

I'm lucky to say that I think this girl will be living with me for awhile...
I fell in love with her detail.
And the vintage handles...oh my!

Who would have thought that a desk could make me want to sit down and get some work done?!?

Dolly the Antique Telephone Table

The side table Petunia is a deep shade of turquoise and is perfect storage for your favorite book or a mug of hot cocoa. You won't have to worry about spills because her curvy little lip was designed to keep things on top of the table and off of your carpet. Her legs taper down to adorable casters that roll beautifully on smooth surfaces.

25.25" by 15.25" by 22.75" tall.  Approximately 8" between the shelf and the bottom of the table top.(Sorry, but the camera and the round box are not included.)

Dolly is $65.
Local pick up is available in Muskegon, Mi.
